Cornell University is a private Ivy League and statutory land-grant research university founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White to teach and contribute to all fields of knowledge. Ezra Cornell said, “I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study”, and has proved the world right by placing 20th on the QS World University Ranking 2023 and 17th out of 443 National Universities. Cornell is ranked among the most prestigious universities in the world.

Hotel management, engineering, and architecture are some things Cornell is known for in their undergraduate programs. The graduate schools of Cornell include the highly ranked, S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, College of Engineering, Law School, and Weill Cornell Medical College. Cornell offers over 100 different areas of study, they provide and give an amazing experience to all the students and include more programs academically, more courses in every area of study, more activities around campus, and include more diversity than other Ivy League schools.

Requirements needed to attend
Cornell’s admissions are highly selective, with approximately an acceptance rate of 10% each year.You should aim for the 75th percentile, with a 1540 SAT or 35 ACT, to have the best chance of getting in. A GPA of at least 4.07 is also required, if your GPA is lower you must make it up with your SAT or ACT scores.

Students with financial needs, established by the Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment, are eligible for Cornell Grants. These funds come from multiple places such as alumni donations, general funds, and university endowments. There are no minimum or maximum amounts of grants awarded. You will be automatically considered for the grant funds when you apply for financial aid without needing a separate application.
Scholarships
Students who qualify for Cornell University Grants have the possibility to be considered for a named endowed scholarship. The scholarships are funded by people who genuinely care about Cornell and its students, some of these donors are former students at Cornell who also received financial help. There aren’t any merit aid or athletic scholarships for Cornell because they give grants to students in need.
